Description: Fit for the Future explores scenarios for the healthcare system in England in 2030. It takes the changing climate and explores some of the different ways that this and other factors play out thought to 2030. There are four scenarios based on Forum for the Future’s Climate Futures. These are: Service Transformation where the high price of carbon has created a new type of consumerist world, businesses sell services rather than products and good citizens share with their neighbours. Efficiency First where rapid innovation and novel technologies have created a low carbon economy with little need for change. Redefining Progress where countries prioritise economic and social resilience over growth and quality of life is the key goal and Environmental War Economy where the world woke up too late to climate change and governments are forced to take tough action to mitigate the damage.
